Onyx Wide Adhesive Vinyl Repair Patch

One split along a seat cushion has a way of growing every time somebody sits down. Onyx goes over the whole tired panel in one piece rather than patching a coin-sized hole, which is why the repair still looks deliberate a month later.

Why you’ll love it

• Covers Whole Panels: At 29.5 in wide the patch spans a large damaged area in a single piece instead of a grid of small squares.
• No Tools Needed: Peel the backing and smooth it down, so the repair takes minutes and no special equipment.
• Six Colors To Match: Shades run from Black and Dark Brown through Grey, Cream and Beige, so you can get close to the original upholstery.
• Flexes With The Seat: The flexible material moves with cushions and seat backs rather than lifting at the first bend.

Good to know

Clean and dry the surface first so the adhesive has something solid to grab, then lay the patch from one edge and press outward to push air ahead of it rather than trapping it. Cutting the piece slightly larger than the damage lets you run the edges into a seam, where the join is far less noticeable.

Common questions

What surfaces does it work on?
It is made for chairs, cushions, sofas, car seats and similar upholstered surfaces.

Do I need glue or tools?
No. The patch is self-adhesive, so you peel the backing and press it into place.

Which size should I order?
All three are 29.5 in wide and differ in length: 39.4 in, 78.7 in or 118.1 in. Pick by how much of the panel you want to cover.

Can I cut it to shape?
Yes, the material is supplied as a sheet, so you can size the piece to the area you are repairing.
